LEADING BY EXAMPLE
AS A TEAM
Starting Point
The association represents the interests of the construction industry towards politics, public administration and society. Structures that grew over decades have left its leadership team poorly set up for the future. The new managing director wants to change that, standing for modern, agile structures, speed and effective teamwork. Traditional, slow communication and decision-making add to the complexity. On top of that, the leadership team has to become fit for the future alongside the demanding conditions of the industry and the clear expectations placed on the association's political work.

Approach & Impact
The team started by developing a shared vision for how they want to work together, covering strategic, personal and procedural aspects. An action plan keeps building the skills for collaboration and leadership. Only on that basis could new roles and processes take hold and give the association a fast, strategic direction. pm.result designed the strategic team development process along agile principles. That included team development workshops with input and methodological advice on agile working and leadership, sharpening the understanding of roles, and coaching selected protagonists.
